Now that we’ve got all the illegal music we want, it’s cheap to come clean and legal!
For a price of a big grab bag of chips, a super sized candy bar, and a big gulp, plus a little change you can avoid getting slapped on the as.., oops, wrist, or worse by the recording industry. Napster is offering deals. With all packages you get unlimited streaming of 7 million tracks, a wide range of radio stations, Billboard charts, play list and a host of other goodies. 5 per month gets you 5, 15 ever 3 months gets you 20 and 60 a year gets you 70, not years in prison for illegal downloads, but legal ones you can do with as you please. Napster is also accessible with your favorite screen reader program, or at least about 90% of it is. The mini player, and the chat links don’t seem to work, but who needs these? I mean we’ve all got 2 sound cards, and if we want to chat, well we just get on the Zone right?
With a choice of 7 million tracks your sure to find that old song by Elvis the ah, *___* or the latest hot track by Brittany ah, *___*
Check it out home.napster.com
to start with, why is this in the daily living board?. daily living is mainly about, um, well usually daily living. lol. managing tasks, practical advice etc.
also, it looks like from your board post you are trying to advertise the site (as if you run it) i am sure we all have our own sources of music by now.
thanks
time keeper
Music downloading, and all that sort of thing is daily living, or at least for some of us. I thought about posting in under accessible electronics, but then it's a service right? Services that work for the blind person, and that are accessible are part of daily living as far as I see it. Owning the site? I wish. Lol
Peace.
I only download music as an aid for not being able to find stuff otherwise. I still subscribe hugely to the idea of old fassion digging in the crates as a D.J. and a record collecter. There's nothing to me better than phisicle wax. So lots of stuff in my computer is stuff I've slowly encoded from wax but I will say that the best P to P software that works for me is soul seek. That thing rocks.
I could never get soul seek to work. How did you do it?
If you're using jaws the scrip's for it only work for the older versions. Even at that I find that it crashes a lot because of corrupt files threw it. You have to be real careful when you download stuff from it because you can download entire directories and sometimes people have no clue what they are sharing and as a result you can be effected as well. So while it's real cool to use and certainly a good replacement for napster and other things like it, it's still wise to be cautious.
This really does belong in the geek's are us category, and has been moved there. General guideline, if it's computer stuff and it's not accessible tech specific, put it in geek's are us. (and this is for everyone, just using this as an example.) Thanks.
